PY 218-Abnormal Psychology:  Undergraduate psychology course focused on the research-oriented study of different types of maladaptive behavior, including symptoms, development, classification, and treatment.

 

Teaching Assistant                                                                                                    Spring 2016

With this teaching assistantship, I was responsible for creating 50% of the course. I created, proctored, and graded weekly quizzes; I developed and led 5 class discussions which incorporated fictional character analysis into the traditional abnormal psychology course to strengthen students’ analytical skills; I developed and graded group projects; and I provided individual tutoring sessions to students that needed additional help with class material. In addition, I gave a guest lecture on eating disorders.

For this course, I was responsible for grading and proctoring exams, entering student grades into Canvas, and working one on one with students that were struggling with difficult class material involving mental disorder diagnosis, assessment, and treatment.

PY 108- Human Sexuality:  Undergraduate psychology course focused on the biological and psychological bases of human sexual behavior. The course also focuses on the genetic, hormonal, and learning foundations for development of sexual and sex-related structures and of psychosexual identity and behavior.
